08:32 am - Marshmallows and Pain
I saw a bag of marshmallows. I took one. Then I had a better idea...toasted marshmallow! I turned on the stove and put a marshmallow on a fork. Mmmmm, mmmm. It was gooey and toasty brown. Just right. Yum. But there was some marshmallow left on the fork. Without thinking, I put the fork in my mouth to lick off the rest of the marshmallow. The searing of flesh could be heard throughout the kitchen. Everyone stopped and stared. My tongue is branded and grooved. It hurts. A lot.
You'd think a fairly smart adult would know better than to put a hot metal fork in her mouth.
Breakfast was very bland.

04:58 pm - Will work for food
I did some temp work today. It was just data entry for 8 hours. Spreadsheet stuff. My back hurts from sitting still all day and typing. I haven't done that in a while. I have an interview tomorrow, but it's for another temp job. I have five versions of my resume ready for job specific inquiries. I've filled out a few apps this week and have a list of places to go tomorrow after my interview. Cross your fingers for me, please.
I think mom and I will rest our weary bodies in the hottub this evening. My parents have had this since they built this house and I've never tried it. Can anyone explain that?

I'd lake to take a moment to encourage my readers to help Lisa Spodak raise money for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. She began in 2002 by getting pledges and donations. Her determination has led to a well known and popular fudnraiser of auctioning celebrity autographed Avon Breast Cancer Teddy Bears and pink Everlast Breast Cancer Boxing Gloves. Her current auction features the leads of Fox's Dollhouse Eliza Dushku and Tahmoh Penikett and guest stars Alan Tudyk and Mark Sheppard. The auctions run through May 21, 2009. 11:44 am - Star Trek was enjoyable
This will be a repost from www.ThatCostumeGirl.com.
We went to a Thursday evening show of Star Trek. Unfortunately, the licensed dress was not available in time for purchase for the opening. I pulled a red shirt from my closet and set a high ponytail.
I liked the movie. Bana was a little much, but overall a great ride. I think even major Trekkers will enjoy this version of events. Simon Pegg stole the show, as always. Head on out and see the movie.( Spoilers after the jump. Beware )

12:35 pm - Oooh, those rackets!
I'm trying to get together all the things needed for Pez's graduation in a couple of weeks. Man, they really get you with all the packages and must-haves. I had forgotten how bad it was back in high school. The cap and gown are sort of necessary, so I can't skimp on that. I'd love to get his some official announcements for his close family, but good grief even the small package is pricey. He's not getting a ring. The special seals and address labels just aren't necessary.
Don't tell Pez, (hey, stop reading this!) but I think I've managed to get a pin for Phi Kappa Phi. So that's something.
I'm really excited about his graduation. I think I'm more excited than he is. His dad and stepmother will be able to make it down. Unfortunately, since it's Mothers Day weekend, I don't think his children will be able to visit. I'm going to take lots of pictures.
